Here are three related stories that caught my eye.

Higher education costs have now ballooned to a point that they’re starting to impact society in fundamental ways. In fact, things have gotten so bad that there are numerous Ph.Ds on food stamps. (Arguably, these are mostly Ph.Ds in fields with dubious utility, but that’s an argument for another day.) Thankfully, universities such as Ohio State are starting to confront costs.
