Mindshapes and Civitas Learning raise about $4 million each

It has been a good few days for a couple of educational startups.

First, we have Mindshapes, an interactive learning company, which announced recently that it has secured a $4 million investment from Index Ventures, Richmond Park Partners and existing investors.

And second, we have Civitas Learning, an educational software startup in Austin, which has raised $4.1 million from Austin Ventures, First Round Capital and Floodgate to create a digital platform to help guide educational decision-making.

Exciting times for everyone, as long as you’re part of one of those two companies. The respective press releases have more details about the companies themselves, and how they plan to spend this money.
