You’ll rarely see the oft-thrown-around term MOOC on this site because I am not a fan of it. I feel its definition is overloaded, and that it sounds quite silly. In fact, the only times I really tend to bring it up are when I am arguing against its use!

I recently found some articles that summarise the absurdity of the situation and better illustrate the various things people mean when they use the term. And why it’s usually wrong to do so.

I can’t wait for the term to leave our lexicon and be replaced by something better. Feel free to jump in with suggestions!
